Dimming in Tseung Kwan O Hospital Wards
Tseung Kwan O Hospital, an acute hospital in Hong Kong that provides secondary care services to the Sai Kung and Tseung Kwan O community, was established in 1999. Light intensity control is an efficient need in the hospital environment to provide a comfortable environment for the patients to recover and rehabilitate and a safe environment for the hospital personnel to conduct their tasks.
Its recent wards (3B, 5B) renovation project has the LED dimming requirement for its T8 lighting fixture. In this project, each phase dimmer dims four T8 lighting fixtures. Each dimmer dims up to four T8 LED tubes (4 ft / 18W each).
Thus, each dimmer must handle 288W or more to provide a stable phase dimming control to the external LED drivers (CAMLITE®). After the contractor encountered the different types of problems with Incandescent (TRIAC) dimmers, we’re pleased that our 450W digital trailing-edge phase dimmers (DZ2G450DIAL) can contribute to the case.
Since this project, different public hospital wards in Kowloon East and Kowloon Central clusters have used our phase dimmers (DZ2G450DIAL, DZ3G450DIAL) and 1-10V Controller (DZ1G1TEN).
