LED Dimming has been a common lighting requirement in Today's Professional LED Lighting / Interior Design. But for many, who are in LED Lighting Design / Interior Design / M&E Consultant, they might have found different Reliability and Performance problems when using Traditional Incandescent Dimmers (a.k.a, TRIAC Dimmers) to realize LED Dimming. There are already many websites saying that LED Dimming requires a new type of Dimmer. It's our intention to create our Application Video Library to explore different LED Dimming topics so that the relevant parties would be able to visualize it than simply reading another technical article online.
To provide a simple-to-use and cost-effective LED Dimming solution for customers’ transition to Professional LED Lighting effect, our 450W / 220 - 240Vac Digital Phase Cut LED Wall Dimmers are designed for LED Deep Dimming. Not only are backward compatible to single Live-wire operation for TRIAC Dimmer Replacement, our LED dimmers have Other Benefits from Digital Processing, which upgrades Single Pole Dimmers with new features matching with today’s market needs.

Additional Energy Saving from LED Phase Dimming (MEGAMAN® LG6603dGD)
Energy Saving is a fundamental benefit of LED lighting. As Lumen-per-Watt continues to improve, brightness control and heat dissipation from LEDs are getting more and more difficult. Thus, LED dimming is becoming an actual need for daily applications. In this video, we use two sets of LG6603dGD bulbs to compare the input power changes as dimming applied to only one of them.
If both systems have already installed with LED lamps, the one being dimmed would save even more energy than the other. This can be important for applications, such as Server Rooms since it requires lighting to be on for most of the time (24-7) and the heat generated would require further air-con to maintain the room temperature at a given range. The additional energy saving from LED dimming should be further explored in such lighting design.
Lightbox / Signage is another potential application, where dimming can be applied to the application to reduce the excessive amount of light and heat. Practice to implementing dimming with lightbox / signage can improve light pollution and save energy wastage massively. See our High Power Factor Dimmable LED Advertisement Lightbox demo to understand the potential of dimming applications in daily life.
